My BJJ journey continues! I started in 2019 at another school but it closed when the owner retired earlier than planned due to the pandemic. Professor Tim Lopez recently moved to the area and started the Murrieta Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Club from his home. He is a John Machado black belt and is an excellent instructor. If you are not familiar with the Machado brothers they are cousins with the Gracie brothers and some of the first to teach BJJ in the US. The Machado brothers have trained Chuck Norris, Eddie Bravo, Joe Rogan to name a few. The MBJJ Club is not an affiliate but you can be confident that you are training under a professor with an excellent BJJ Lineage in a family friendly atmosphere. I am 42 years young and have a job to go to the next day, so I appreciate getting great instruction but in a safe and fun environment.

From experience, I have trained at different gyms throughout my years with a long gap of training in between and nothing can compare to the devotion and positive environment that professor Tim has created in his gym. If you are looking for a bjj gym that is more gear towards self-improvement with a friendly atmosphere this is a perfect place for you. Very thankful that I have finally found a long-term place to train.
